Level 2 Train the Trainer
This is the ideal course for those just starting out in training, or for anyone responsible for training as part of their role.
By the end of the course, learners will be able to:

Recognise how people learn and the importance of individual learning styles in the delivery of training

Know methods of training and evaluation - including a short session on digital methods of delivery and assessment

Deliver training - including the preparation of lesson plans and schemes of work

Promote equality of opportunity in training sessions
Learners do not need to be delivering training in order to enrol on this course, however, as part of the course they will be required to prepare and deliver a short training session to classmates.

Level 3 Train the Trainer
This course is aimed at those who have completed the Level 2 Train the Trainer course or those who are experienced in delivering training and wish to further develop their skills.
By the end of the course learners will be able to:

Understand the purpose and process of Training

Recognise how people learn and the importance of individual learning styles in the delivery of training

Understand training methods and assessments - including some digital methods
-
Plan a structured training session - including the preparation of schemes of work and lesson plans

Deliver training - with the use of digital aids if desired

Evaluate training
Learners do not need to be delivering training in order to enrol on this course, however, as part of the course they will be required to prepare and deliver a short training session to classmates.
Learners who wish to progress to the Level 3 Award in Education and Training may be able to use some of the evidence collected during this course.

Level 3 Award in Education and Training (QCF)
This qualification replaces the PTLLS qualification and is the minimum requirement for teachers/trainers working in certain roles. Topics covered include:

The course takes approximately 4 days to cover the theory but there will be work to complete at home. Learners will also be required to complete a micro-teach session for their classmates as part of ths course.

Level 4 Award in Education and Training (QCF)
This qualification replaces the Level 4 Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (CTLLS).
The Level 4 Award in Education and Training prepares trainee teachers to teach in a wide range of contexts. It requires observation and assessment of practice. It can meet the needs of a range of trainee teachers, including:
• individuals who are not currently teaching and training but who can meet the practice requirements, including the observed and assessed practice requirements, of the qualification;
• individuals who are currently teaching and training (including those who have just begun teaching and training) who can meet the practice requirements, including the observed and assessed practice requirements, of the qualification;
• individuals currently working as assessors who wish to achieve a teaching qualification.
