Leaders in Training is a small and professional family run training company based in South Wales bringing together the expertise of experienced training professionals from a variety of sectors. We provide workforce training and upskilling in Wales and the South West and a wide range of Online and Distance learning courses for individuals and organisations throughout the UK.
MEET THE TEAM
Louise McGrath
Managing Director
Louise McGrath specialises in teacher training and digital literacy.
Louise has worked in education for the past 12 years where her key achievements have included:
- Working with Colegau Cymru and the Welsh Government to develop, deliver and quality assure an Essential Skills practitioner programme for practitioners throughout Wales delivering digital literacy.
- Working with Agored Cymru for the development and quality assurance of the new Digital Literacy essential skill.
- Delivering practitioner training to over 100 practitioners throughout Wales.
- Working with Tribal to develop and quality assure questions and materials.
Chris McGrath
Director
Chris McGrath specialises in First Aid, Leadership and Management. Chris joined Leaders in Training Ltd following his service as a Commissioned Officer within the British Army.
Chris has gained valuable Leadership and Management experience through a variety of fast paced and dynamic environments with key skills in the areas of project, change, operations and HR management. He has recently completed a BSc (Hons) in Communications Management in order to strengthen his knowledge and skills. As a qualified Army Mountaineering Instructor he has planned and lead expeditions on three continents including reaching Everest Base Camp in Nepal in February 2016.
Prior to Military Service he worked in the Financial Sector specialising in Insurance and Banking. Chris is passionate about personal development and the enhancement of team skills and cohesion.
Kathryn Mathias
Director
Kathryn Mathias specialises in food safety and health and safety.
Kathryn is a qualified Environmental Health Practitioner having worked for local government for over
40 years. On retiring she set up her own company specialising in food safety and health and safety training and consultancy.
She has also worked as an advisor, assessor and internal verifier for NVQ’s up to level 5 for both City and Guilds and OCR and currently moderates risk assessment assignments L3 for the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health on a weekly basis, being the only such moderator in the country.
She likes to help businesses ensure their legal compliance with Environmental health legislation by advising and training their workforce.
